SCHWEINFURT, Germany – For the third year in a row, the 21st Theater Sustainment Command held a 10-day Air Assault School Sept. 10 at Camp Robertson in Schweinfurt, Germany, involving approximately 260 Soldiers and Airmen from various branches of Germany.

Army Air Assault Course

By conducting the course, the 21st TSC opened the way for European assigned servicemen to be equipped with air assault without having to return to the United States.

Air Assault School enables Soldiers to perform air mobile and air attack helicopter operations, including aircraft handling, sling loading operations, proper hang techniques and fast rope techniques. Divided into three phases, training is rigorous and fast. But students get their first challenge through an obstacle course before the grade level begins.

"The obstacle course challenged me because I don't like heights and there are a few obstacles that are quite high," said Pfc. William X. Ogara, a plumber with the 15th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineer Group and a native of Vancouver, BC.

All training was conducted by Air Assault Certified Soldier Instructors from the National Guard Warrior Training Center at Fort Benning.

U.s. Army Air Assault School: Day Zero Obstacle Course

In the first stage, during the offensive phase of the battle, servicemen were familiarized with rotary-wing aircraft, hand and hand signals, route finding, landing zone and helicopter signals, and aeromedical evacuation operations.

The second phase was sling loader operation, where servicemen were trained in standard sling loader equipment, sling ground crew operations, and methods of preparing, repairing, and inspecting various pieces of military equipment.

The third and final phase of air assault training was the rappelling phase, where students were taught how to attach a standard hip rappel set in less than 90 seconds and how to attach a rope set to the right side in 15 seconds or less. They also did several rappels from a 55-foot tower and rappels from a UH60 Blackhawk from 80 feet.

After passing all three levels, servicemen were still not safe from passing the course. On their last day before graduation, they had to carry 45 pounds of gear and complete a 20-kilometer run in three hours.

"We lose most of our level two students during the sling load test," said Sgt. Ammon S. Blair, an Air Assault Operations Sergeant, and a native of Sandy, Utah. Gen 3 Glock 27 - I had a P 938 9mm sig, the trigger pull was terrible and I wasn't very accurate myself. I also have 2 sig p 238 380 in the car, again good gun but not very accurate. The frame also had a downside, my hand got a little tired after 100 yards. A better choice is the Glock 27 1 st. It's the same as the p938, so it's really compact. 2nd, 40 cal not 9mm, 3rd magazine has 9 + 1 Vs 6 + 1 4, I can use a 15 round magazine loaded at home for long reloads. Best of all, this gun is very accurate at 7 yards, I can shoot 15 rounds in a 3 inch circle and the hand doesn't get tired after 100 rounds. I bought a Glock G 27 Gen 3.

I shot SMJ and Hallow's balls with no problems. By far, this little gun is my more expensive Kimber 1911 in .45. What I'm trying to say is that Kimber has a real problem with her appetite. The manual safety guard is too close to the handle, causing accidental brushing of the thumb, and the safety switch is intentionally engaged. These problems result in failure to fire rapid fire bursts. Meanwhile, the Glock 27 never had a problem with direct fire. I can keep shooting while someone else is busy fixing their problems with other guns. I have come to believe in this gun forever! I can't say that about most other guns!

Even though I'm an old dog, I try to teach myself new tricks from time to time, especially when it comes to practical self-care. I ordered 43 2 weeks ago and will be ordering another soon. The design is amazing. I have very large hands, but the 43 fills it up just right. Also everything I've read recently says the 9mm round can hold up in .45 and .40. Furthermore, football has come a long way in the last 30 years. The new bullet design and amplifiers have increased the power of the 9mm, making it much better. I still went with the .45, but I like what I was told and saw about the 9. But don't break your word. Do your research and decide for yourself. This old dog will be asking you for a Glock 43 soon.

I have one of these guns and it's my first gun and I have to buy it!!! It's been dark ever since. I now have a 27 40 caliber watch. Now if you buy a gen 5 model, the Glock 43 might get some really nice guns.

Bought a new Glock 43 for concealed carry last week. I was a little skeptical because of the small size, but after the first 18 rounds I fired. A bit slow but easily fixed. My Glock 19 is about the size of a bazooka compared to a Glock 43. This thing is a winner, well worth the investment and very concealable.

Gen 3 Glock 23 - I bought a G23 Gen 3 a few months ago and it has become my go-to gun and I have quite a few. I also got a 9mm conversion barrel so I can shoot 40 V&W or 9mm and it's a perfect carry or toy gun. If you are considering the G19, I would consider going with the G23 and a replacement barrel. This gun can be converted to shoot 4 different calibers (Awesome gun that comes in 40 seconds! I highly recommend this gun.

I prefer the grip on the Gen 4 over the Gen 3. It's very secure in the hand. The dimensions of the 23 are portable, but large enough to absorb recoil and provide a long field of view image. I also like the idea of ​​a .357 Sig conversion barrel. You can't beat the Glock in my opinion.

I bought a Gen 3 a few years ago. I still love the gun to this day. I'd love to get a Gen 4 one day, but I don't feel the need to yet. I bought a Glock 31 which is a Sig 357 caliber with one magazine. I bought 2 more Sig 357 mags from the gun dealer but the salesman said the mags were missing so long story short he went out and bought me (2) 40 gauge mags and assured me they would work for 357. Pistol. Then I bought a 40 ACP barrel. So now I had a Sig 357 rifle and a 40 ACP 3 magazine rifle. Then I bought a 9mm barrel changer and (3) 9mm magazines, so from one gun purchase and a few extras I now have 3 different caliber pistols. Glock Rules!!!!!! Next I get the 22LR conversion.
